Squandering Time

Dost thou love life? Then do not squander time, for that is the stuff life is made of. Benjamin Franklin

We might have different definitions of what “squandering” involves – I don’t consider watching a sunset a waste of time for example – but ol’ Ben (who might not have been old when he said this) had a point.

We each have a finite amount of time to make a difference in the world. That’s the bad news. The good news is that we have the opportunity to make a difference with each and every choice we make. It doesn’t matter whether that difference is on the “global stage” or impacts our community or the people right next to us.

What’s important is that we don’t squander those opportunities and that time.

It’s the stuff that life is made of.
