Looking Into the Other

English: Philip Stanhope, 4th Earl of Chesterfield

You must look into other people as well as at them. Lord Chesterfield

This, it seems to me, is a good definition of the difference between applying the Golden Rule superficially and truly attempting to live it to the best of our ability.

Let’s try to always look “into” the other, and not just “at” them, before we act.
